BANDON DUNES GOLF RESORT ‘OLD MACDONALD’ is located just north of the city of Bandon, Oregon, U.S.A. Mike Keiser discovered an ideal property in the sand dunes near Bandon and set about building some of the greatest golf courses in the world. The first course in his resort, Bandon Dunes, opened on May 19,1999, designed by Scottish architect David McLay Kidd . The resort’s second course, Pacific Dunes, located a little farther up the Pacific coast, opened on July 1, 2001. The resort’s third course, Bandon Trails, was designed by the team of Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw which opened on June 1, 2005. The fourth course, Old Macdonald which opened in June 2010, in honour of Charles Blair Macdonald, was designed by a team led by Tom Doak and Jim Urbina of Renaissance Design Inc. who created Pacific Dunes. continued..
