Description
CABOT LINKS, established in 2011, is located in Inverness, Nova Scotia, Canada. It was designed by Rod Whitman who has designed and constructed highly acclaimed golf courses in Canada, the USA, Europe and Asia. It was built on a former coal mine along the coast of the Gulf of Saint Lawrence where in true links fashion, every hole overlooks the sea. The golf course was the creation of Ben Cowan-Dewar, a Toronto-born 33-year-old, with the financial backing from Mike Keiser who is the creator of Bandon Dunes. The opening of the Cabot Links assisted with the rebirth of the Inverness economy which had gone into decline after its coal mines closed. continued..
