EASTWARD HO C.C. Established in 1922 is located in Chatham, Massachusetts, USA. The spectacular setting on Cape Cod in southern Massachusetts enjoys extensive coastline, and engaging terrain and being so close to the ocean, the property is much hillier than you might expect with breathtaking ridgetop views of Little Pleasant Bay. The course was designed by Herbert Fowler, who coincidentally had reworked Old Tom Morris’s original course at Westward Ho in England a few years earlier. Herbert Fowler, from London, England wasn’t drawn to golf until mid-life but he quickly excelled and became enthralled with the sport, joining both the R&A and the Honourable Club of Edinburgh Golfers. He later became a famous golf course architect, and also designed Walton Heath Golf Club among many others in the United Kingdom and United States. continued..
