MONTE REI GOLF CLUB Established in 2007 is located in Vila Nova de Cacela, northeast of Tavira in Portugal. ‘Monte Rei North’ designed by Jack Nicklaus opened for play in the June of 2007. The par 72 Championship golf course woven into 1,000 acres of unspoilt countryside is a unique design with a distinctive layout, where water comes into play on eleven of the eighteen holes. Situated in Eastern Algarve, between the Serra do Caldeirão mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, the club is located away from the concentration of golf courses that are abundant around the Albufeira area.
