ROYAL MELBOURNE GOLF CLUB, established in 1891, is located at Black Rock, Victoria, Australia. It is Australia’s oldest extant and continually existing golf club. The West course is generally acknowledged as the best course in Australia and the finest design of Dr. Alister Mac Kenzie. It was born of a productive two months in 1926 when Royal Melbourne had commissioned Dr Alister Mac Kenzie on the advice of the R&A (The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews in Scotland).
