ST. ENODOC GOLF CLUB, established in 1890 is located in Rock, Wadebridge, Cornwall in England. Golf was first played by a party of undergraduates in 1888 in the area around St Enodoc church and Daymer Bay. A year later, a number of local gentlemen laid out a few holes amongst the towering dunes at Rock and in 1890 they formed St Enodoc Golf Club. Around 1900, Dr Theophilus Hoskin purchased 300 acres, including the land already in use for golf and granted a lease to the Club for £30 a year. In 1907 Scottish professional golfer and renowned golf course architect James Braid was invited to lay out a full 18 hole course. continued..
