YOKOHAMA COUNTRY CLUB Established in 1960 is located at Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan. The club is sited on rolling terrain and has two courses, the East and West, with the latter being of higher quality. Architect Takeo Aiyama took six years to design both, and the West would go on to host several professional tournaments, such as the 1978 Japan Open which was one of Seve Ballesteros’ first wins as a professional. The west course had a major renovation in 2014/15 by Coore & Crenshaw where their trademark bunkering is evident dominating the look and feel of the course.
