- FANCOURT LINKS Established in 2000 is located in Blanco, George 6530, South Africa. In 1860 British engineer, Henry Fancourt White built an elegant family home, known as Blanco House. When he passed away his son, Ernest Montagu White renamed the house ‘Fancourt’ in honour of his father. In 1989 the estate was bought by Andre and Helene Pieterse who transformed it into a first class hotel and golfing destination. Today, the extensive Fancourt estate is owned by Dr Hasso and Sabine Plattner with the Links style course designed by golfing legend Gary Player. Previously an airfield, the course features an undulating, windswept terrain and dune-style landscape which is a living piece of environmental and golfing heritage, with the majestic Outeniqua Mountains providing a stunning backdrop. continued..
